Jevi is a theorist, chartered director, researcher, web developer, and experimental interdisciplinary artist. Her theoretical and research-creation practice explores our individual and societal relationships with technology; privacy; governance; immersion; and speculative fiction. She uses art-based research as a method to investigate and share her findings, and coined the term hypervolition as part of her research.
Jevi obtained an MFA in Digital Futures from OCADU, and a Business Informatics BASc at McMaster University. Business Informatics is a specialised honors program focused on the combined core components of Business and Computer Science. Hailing from a family of scribophiles, she is fond of poetry. She graduated from the GBC School of Design. She later earned a professional certificate in Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Jevi’s multidisciplinary studies has led to careers as a software programmer, business intelligence analyst, IT security analyst, and web and graphic designer.
